MAd20val, lovin' your red key obsession \:D

The red key/code system are separate from the alarm and central locking system. Get a new alarm system installed, it's easy enough for most installers and integrating with the central locking is easy enough. The scorpion is out of date and hard to come by. Have a look at a few threads on the same subject in this section.

I had the same problem with my 20vt, it was the scorpion disease I tried to get it to work but ended up having to buy a new alarm off of fleepay.
I hope the new one works ok, will be fitting it tommorrow as it is a pager as well. will find out tommorrow then.

Well it took a bit longer than expected but it is now all working ok, the only downer is there are no internal sensors, but it does now have a motion alarm.
Its very novel when the high wind moves the car and the key fob plays you a little tune telling you that the car has been attacked!, still that bit is now disabled was wearing a bit thin the other night.
Dont know the range of the pager but is supposed to be 1.5KM
I know this doesn't sort your problem but it is an alternative, dump the scorpion and get a newer type.
