Yep got my £120 Garmin i3 up and running. Loads of built-in POI's and the one-off speed camera database from pocketgpsworld costs £2. (or £20 a year )

As well as full UK on the 256mb card, it has the Garmin European base-map pre-installed which covers:

This little unit is sooo much better than my old PDA-based thingy. When you park up, just pull it off its mount and bung it in the glovebox.

I can report so far that the speed cameras work seamlessly as you drive along. If you're not following a programmed route, the unit also displays your speed, which is useful for checking the accuracy of your speedometer.

Very user-friendly menu-driven interface.

I'm trying to work out how to display POI's on the screen (like petrol stations) - this was a useful feature on my old system. It might not be possible, if so this'll be one of the compromises such a small screen/unit brings.

Also been able to routeplan right into little French towns, the European mapping is a real unexpected bonus You can do all this anywhere as the unit also runs on batteries.
