I've always assummed that my Plus, which is colour code 108A, was the same as the other 'burgundy red wine' cars.
But I noticed on another thread that there are TWO dark red metallics.
Whats the difference?

light red metallic - Code 108 – Light Red met - Speed Red metallic

Dark red metallic – Code 180 – Rosso Winner met - Dark Red metallic

bow bow bow

Here is my car
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/bteather/burg2.jpg
How would you describe the colour?
Wine? Burgundy? dark metallic red?
Well the colour code is 108 which http://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=31606 describes as 'light red metallic - Code 108 – Light Red met - Speed Red metallic'

Can you see where this going?

So I want to know what 'Dark red metallic – Code 180 – Rosso Winner met - Dark Red metallic' looks like?

Sorry @ 124coupe tongue couldn't resist... even though I know where you're coming from.

Mine's exactly the same colour as yours. Says 108 under the bonnet on one of the plates as I remember. So it's 'light metallic red' according to the colour codes on here. It's a 2000W reg 20VT 6.

However, as we both know, it's obviously quite a dark wine/burgundy red... maybe Italians are colour blind!? rofl It is a little confusing... but what a great colour laugh I'd call it wine red.

The later red (Fiat 124's) is slightly lighter than the earlier red (mine). Here's a pic:

The point to all this??

I've just bought a s/h 'wine' boot lid and it's a shade darker, so did it come from the other 'wine 180' car?

This picture shows it clearer
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/bteather/P1060284.jpg

What's wrong with the link AlanW?

So mine is winner 180 red. R reg 1997. And the later model is code 108 But arent they the same colour just different codes for different years?
Mind you mines all sorts of shades,as the last owner had all sorts of bad paint jobs done.

I do. I've looked at them together and the later colour is slightly lighter and less purple, leaning more towards straight red. Definately not just a different shade of the same colour. TBH, I prefer the later colour .
