I know a number of us went and either showed cars or just had a nose around last year, they are taking entries now for the show - Saturday 25th April. Book your spot directly with the organiser at his details below, but let us all know on this thread if you are going This fills up quickly, I applied for an entry last year in February and was too late. _________________________________________ Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival Saturday 25th April 2009 Lancia to be the Featured Marque Lancia will be the Featured Marque at next year's Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival to mark the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the original Delta model. The organisers are working with the Lancia Motor Club to feature a wide range of Lancias of all ages to make this a most memorable show. Once again there will be wide ranging displays of Italian cars and bikes of all marques and ages to set the Italianesque 'Old City' streets alive with Italian chic and design flair. All car entries must be pre booked (with full name, address, phone & mobile numbers and vehicle details - marque, model, year, reg. no.) to: biamf@ourhemanpal.co.uk or 0117 947 5814. If using a transporter vehicle please advise as it will also need a pass. Why not make a note in your diary to come on down and take part in the best free Italian vehicle festival in the country? This event makes for a grand day out just looking at all the exciting cars and bikes on display, chatting with the owners and making new friends. The City's shopping centre and markets are nearby and worth a browse too. Also nearby, the historic harbour is lined with attractions, museums, historic boats and ships including Brunel’s ‘SS Great Britain’ and a replica of John Cabot’s ship the Matthew. (A little known fact - in the year 1497, the Bristol-based Cabot sailed in the original Matthew to reach the North American mainland before Columbus!) If anyone requires further information or wishes to promote a product or company through the Festival, please contact the undersigned. Sponsors will receive a full 12 months of publicity on our website (under construction at present). Yours faithfully, Paul G Hanmore BIAMF Organiser biamf@ourhemanpal.co.uk

I've left a message for Paul to contact me regarding a FCCUK official Club Stand. As soon as I get a reply, I'll post up on here. As said above, entries for this go really quickly so book now to avoid disappointment.

I've spoken to Paul today and confirmed that a number of us can all park together as an official Club Stand with a banner etc. However, each person needs to register individually so get your emails sent asap.

My entry is also confirmed.
Just sorting out a hotel for the weekend so the missus can enjoy some shopping whilst I drool over the cars.
I have a feeling that my daily driver Coupé is going to be somewhat over shadowed by the other cars on display! Best get cleaning!
I assume that nearer the time we can organise how we can meet up and ensure we are all parked together?
Coupe now sold!

Looks like a good turn out so far!
What do people do about getting the car all cleaned up? Obviously it will be done before heading down but i'd been keen to give it another rinse off and quick detail when I arrive for maximum shine...

Simon, how come you are not showing the Coupé? The event isn't just going to be concours/garage queen cars is it? Mine's clean but by no means a show stopper!

Paul has confirmed my entries today, looking forward to this Had mine through too along with this footnote; Dear Craig,
Many thanks for your entry. Will do my best to ensure coupes displayed together but the best way is to arrive together or send someone early to speak with marshals and 'bag' some space. Anyone living local to Bristol could volunteer to marshal and 'look after' the space! It is always best to arrive as early as possible - leave breakfast until later!
You must arrive by 10 am and not leave until 4 pm.So, is anyone close enough to grab us a good space on the day (main street not one of the side streets)? I was one of the first coops there last year but most of the good pitches had already gone so we really need someone to do this. Oh and "well done" to Paul for getting the confirmations out so quickly - as above, he has been having some personal issues atm.

I'll be there showing an Alfa, not taking the coop - although it's an interesting car I don't think its quite tidy enough for an unsuspecting public.
Joe, will you be coming passed our place on your way? Fancy a convoy?

Sounds like getting us all parked together could turn into a bit of fun!
I've booked the Friday off work and will be travelling down the afternoon before the event - have a hotel booked for a couple of nights (mainly to keep the Girlfriend sweet). This means that I should be able to get there as early as possible.
From people's previous attendance what sort of time do people start turning up?
I'll be happy to get down there as early as possible and bag some space for everyone. Perhaps as we get closer to the event it would be worth while getting people's contact numbers so we can communicate the patch where we have 'bagged'...
Coupe now sold!

Joe, will you be coming passed our place on your way? Fancy a convoy? Good idea James, unsure what time we'll be going past yours yet but we can sort that out closer the time. As for bagging a good patch, what we could do with is a coupe owner volunteering as a marshal, that way he/she could have our mobile numbers and direct us all in from a general meeting point just outside Bristol. It would be an early start though, Paul has said marshals are to be there at 6.45am

Ive attended most years, and can confirm its one of the best shows of the year. The cars are shown off very well against the old buildings. This year, i am on holiday. So no show for me. Andy.
