IIRC, the total run for the UK was over 7000, so we've lost a fair percentage

However, when you compare with other ten to fifteen year old cars, I think we're doing well to keep such a high percentage away from the scrappies

I often discuss with my mate which cars sold in their tens of thousands which you don't see any more - Vauxhall Cavaliers / Ford Sierras / Rover Metros etc - they used to be everywhere but you don't see them much now. Give it another few years & the one's left over will be kept going for years to come, like the Capri.

I wonder if someone could fill in the blanks:

i will never sell my 16vt.
im hoping to get a 20vt next week and if i do i will keep both,mod the 20vt and keep the 16vt standard.
i love the coupe's if iv got one 20 and one 16 turbo ill be happy.

How many coupes, if you could would you own. I'd like three 16v turbo's, one imaculate, one track and one day to day car.

got a mint 16vt,hopefully i will have a 20vt by next week.
that's me happy,keep one standard and one to mod.
im happy with them for life then mate.
no need to worry about what car to get next once you have a coupe.

Only 71 LE's left, well at least they are 'limited' now, unlike those common Plus models

The LE`s are more cherished than the normal models which means in 30yrs time there will be more LE`s than 20vt`s

There is definately more than that IMO, so as said above a lot will be listed as a 20VT. Although I can't remember the last time I saw one apart from Spee's.

I don't think i have seen another LE as of yet, in my year of ownership. Mine has been hiding in the garage, are all the Le's doing the same

I saw a red LE afew weeks ago in the High Wycombe area, driving near to L&M, i was in my girlfriend's fiesta, I only ever see other coupes when i'm not in mine

94k i believe and picked it up with 91k on the clock. Owned it since Jan 08.

Which strikes me as more in line with what I expected. I suspect the earlier response lists total sold, not total remaining.

Yeah Barnacle, that's what caught my eye. It was
NIgel expecting 7000+ that seemed a bit high.
I know there may have been some sold in 2001,
but it can't have been many.
