Following on from the discussions around the last Dyno Demon Day, I've organised a "compare and contrast" event at the following location; http://www.ricwood.com/This will be on Saturday, 4th April 2009. Cost will be £35 per car for the same service that we currently get at DD. Oh and they have a set of Dastek Rollers... Start time: 9.00am. Interested.1) MABR 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10) I'm going to be out of circulation for the next 3 weeks or so but should be back on form a week or so before this so apologies in advance if I don't answer any questions straight away.

Put me down as a provisional, I want to get a second opinion on the advice from DD before I do another club rolling road to save another anti climax, so if I can get this sorted and things go well then I'll certainly attend this.
I've done loads of tests on the car since that last session and I still cannot find a single trace of clutch slip.. hmm...

It won't be clutch slip, there was next to no load on the dyno hence why the runs only took a few seconds to complete. I'm glad you've said that, now I feel a bit better. I don't see how it can be slipping - brand new Helix Organix clutch (full kit) fitted by Motormech, one of the leading specialists in the country, only 3 weeks before the dyno. Unlikely to be a faulty unit, and even more unlikely to be a mistake made by Paul. But I would like to get a second opinion to put my mind at rest, it just seemed odd that some of the other cars were able to put down 300+ bhp but mine could only run to 4,000 revs. I would've expected around 300 bhp (the run was showing around 300-305 lbs/ft torque before the test ended) so curious as to why mine 'slipped' but none of the others. Shame I'm not a bit closer to your place Flea, I'd be there in a shot

Much better with a single roller system or Hub Dyno. Andy.

It will just be the tyres 'slipping' on the rollers, you really do need to get a fair amount of heat in the tyres - especially with high power FWD cars.

OK guys - this is now this coming Saturday. Every time I've tried to organise one of these I've used timeslots for people which normally don't run to schedule after the 2nd or 3rd car so, can everyone please make sure that they're there by 10.30am at the latest. I'll run timeslots up to that time then it'll be first come, first served. Payment is £35 per car cash only on the day. If you're unable to attend, can you please give as much notice as possible. Due to health issues, I'm not getting on here as much as normal so apologies for any delay in replying. Running Order.9.00am - MABR 9.20am 9.40am 10.00am 10.20am 10.40am onwards - first come, first served. With a total of 12 of us, this should be all wrapped up by lunchtime. If anyone is interested in attending, please add your name to the list.
