If I was to win the lottery or something, I'd get in touch with Fiat and get them to build a brand new Coupe for me -with the same shape, but more power as well as all the modern features/technology. It would be called the One Edition. Would something like this be possible?

Ok, here goes......I emailed Mark again last night with regard to these queries and this is the exact email I have just recieved.

Hi Tracy,
I have checked the latest figures (from December 2008) and they are the same. The figures are the number registered for the road at that time, so it is the total remaining.
The only thing I can think of is imported vehicles, which do not get recorded by the SMMT as new sales. The table below splits out the imported vehicles by model. This then brings the UK new registered vehicles to below 5,482, with the rest (294) being imports.
