Auto Italia Spring Italian Car Day – Saturday May 2nd, Brooklands, Surrey

Ok Coopsters, first Auto Italia show of the year is almost upon us, now just less than 2 months away. As always, venue is Brooklands, near Chertsey in Surrey, only 10 minutes from the M25.

I understand the FCCUK area will be the same as in 2007 – this is a grass area near the main building and the covered picnic area. In the past, the Ferrari Owners Club have occupied the pitch next to this, so we can turn up and laugh at their indicator stalks and side repeaters, pointing out that they are the same as ours.

A FCCUK stand should be in attendance, with lots of FCCUK information, giving non-members a chance to sign up and also selling various FCCUK goodies.

Gates open around 9am, I believe. If you want to park in the FCCUK area the guys on the gate will direct you, I would advise getting there earlier rather than later as from memory, the FCCUK pitch will hold maybe 30 cars. When I last went in 2007, it was full by 12-ish.

Its a really good day out; meet your fellow FCCUKers, take a nose around a wide selection of Italian exotica, trade stands, Brooklands Museum and see a selection of cars go up the test hill, including one rather well known 16v....

I usually go with Fiat BOO in a Bravo but as I've got the coop upto a half decent appearance, I'll be coming in the green beastie instead.

I'm happy to convoy down with anyone coming from the west of London, but given you are down in Kent, that's probably not much good to you.

Where do I park? Do I join everyone at the stand or not, I dont really know what happens.....

If you arrive in your coupe you will be directed to the area, but don't be late as it fills quick.

also had article on coupe 20vt vs Alfa GTV vs Lancia Delta Evo2 ( £4.20 is quite a bit but if the Coupe on the front its like its only half price)
so bought a copy.
