Well what a 36hrs its been, yesterday started as a normal day, drove to Willo's house to collect the Energy green 6 speed he has for sale, nice chat about coupes, cup of coffer and then we loaded up the car.
I then reached in through the drivers window and my back just went, next thing I knew I'm lying in the road with my lower back in spasm and boy did it hurt. William thought I was fuccking about, don't blame him either as one minute we're chatting away and the next I've disappeared on the floor tried to move after the spasm had calmed and every time I tried it just locked up and sent shooting pains through my lower back again, ste I think I'm in trouble here so Will phones for the blues and two and they carted me off to Huttingbrook general hospital.

So after some good anti inflammatory tablets and pain killers they checked me over and said I allowed to go home, that is if I could get of the bed on my own of course, which at the end of the day I couldn't, my back just kept going into spasm so they insisted I stayed over night so that all the drugs would have a chance to work and ease the symptoms.

So there you go, a totally different day which I don't want to have to deal with again, but everyone was totally great, Will for being so understanding after having me collapse outside his house, the paramedics for being so quick and efficient, everyone at the hospital, great service and drugs Bob for offering to help out today after I was released and the forum for being so concerned, but the biggest thanks goes to my Brother who drove up from London last night at to see me and then collect my car from Will's, then he drove back to my house in Hereford to wake up early to finish a few jobs that needed attention for today then followed by him driving back out to me at the hospital to bring me home tonight, all this on his Birthday as well, cheers Bro, you've been a life saver today

As for me know, we'll I'm home but not 100% yet, hopefully a few days light duty will see me right so that normal service can resume next week. I'll start ploughing threw the pm's tomorrow if that's ok, I'm just enjoying the pain free evening at the moment

Glad to hear your on the mend Joe. Make sure you get it checked out thoroughly once it's selttled down. I hurt a disc 20 years ago and since then have been in a similar position. Can be fine one minute, something stupid has you lying on the floor in agony with your back in spasm the next!

If your feeling pretty good in a few days Joe go and see a chiropractor, they have great succes with acute injuries. Leave it years like mine and you have no chance
