where can i get ignition wire and is iot the yellow one,,am i correct sayin the live for head unit goes to this,and the other to the battery or is it just one you connect

There is no original wire which goes with the ignition. There is yellow wire fed into the ISO which should be ignition but it isn't. If you want a switched wire then IIRC take the yellow and black one from the cig lighter (fiddly to get at), or take a wire feeding leds in the centre console or clock.

Mine is switched to the cig lighter, but that's because I had the entire centre console & ash tray out recently.

i have the console out at moment mate changing it all,so the wires going to cig lighter are red yellow black i take it the black is the earth.

Must be yellow then. I thought the three wires were - red; yellow/black & black. But it may be solid yellow as opposed to yellow/black. It's hard to see as the connector is in a difficult to reach place. Bockers traced it back further up the loom and spliced into it there.

As I said there is also the clock feed - can't remember the colours there though.

No problems, it's a pain in the arse that it doesn't go off with the ignition. Can you confirm that it was a solid yellow wire?
