Ok, who is up for the biggest coupe meet so far? Im talking every one from here to meet in one place in the UK. Now after thinking long and hard about when and where i was thinking of picking 1 month and polling the rest of the dates. Then finding a place big enough for all of us to park up. So what month is best for people and who's up for it? could make coupe history!! how about August?

Personally I don't think August is the month as its prime holiday/school holiday month where people's weekend are more likely to be spent doing other stuff or are out of the country. At the risk of sounding negative (which I really don't want to), in the 5+ years I've been attending meets, the biggest I've been to was the first Bluewater Meet where we had about 50 cars. Of those owners I remember being there, I reckon only a handful still have their Coupés. I reckon there was maybe 20 cars at Bluewater last year. I missed the AGM event with the special parade lap around Rockingham, but there was probably more than 50 there - even then maybe 60 cars, so only about 1/5 of the current number of Club members and a tiny fraction of the total number of forum members. Even at events like the Auto Italia days you get maybe 30 cars (I'm thinking of Stanford Hall last year). My suggestion for the 'biggest' meet would be liaising with the Committee over the AGM, slated for September and the day before the Auto Italia Day at Gaydon. Why? * Its an official FCCUK event, some (though not all) owners are more likely to make the trip for a club event rather than an independently organised meet. * Its in the Midlands, so central (for us English folk at least) * There's likely to be organised events * There's Auto Italia the next day You need a really special reason to motivate people into getting into their Coupé and driving what might be a 400 mile+ round trip and one or even two overnight stays. Just finding 'a place to park up' is only the start. Do you do a drive? That's some people's pre-requisite for attending, but planning a route for and organising a 50+ car convoy is a logistical nightmare (plus also the sort of thing you should really let local plod know about...). Also, be prepared for drop-outs, people crying-off at the last minute etc. Take the other week for example, 20+ owners stated some sort of interest in coming, when it got to the day itself, for various reasons only 5 turned up. So, your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to try and get 75 Coupés in the same place at the same time I'll be there.

You started out ok but then you went wrong by asking 'what month is best for everyone' now it'll never happen. The only way to do antything like this is organise it then TELL everyone when it is

I'm up for it. Make it somewhere midlands perhaps. Camping facilities would be good particularly in summer, if we have one.

I'd be up for this but i'm away for 2 weeks in August! snap. simon's points about august are very true - i haven't been to a official fccuk event yet, maybe this could be the year if we could decide on simon's suggestion?

ok, so what about a blue water meet again? Also santa pod is a good idea! Big space, kinda good land mark, ticks most box's!
Also people please feel free to put some moths out there so we can get a poll going!

This is what I placed in the club members area a few weeks ago... The Club AGM will be held on Saturday the 05th of September.
On Sunday the 06th, the club will again attend the Auto Italia Event at Gaydon.
I expect the Hotel to be located a little further south than last year (Birmingham is a possibility) and there will be more things to do planned in too. I was going to seek out a Hotel, and push for a discount, but if people would be happy camping I could try and look for somewhere with that option?
Gone Audi mad!

September is always the best month for a "show" meet up. Its the end of the car year for shows and people always put in a bit more effort to make the last one.
Not to mention that the weather has been generally sunny and hot in the past years at the beggining of spetember.
I personally think that this meet should be tied together with the AGM.
As for location, midlands seems best solution, unfortunately, you always get the people who are to worried about getting nose bleeds if they leave there county so expect a far few not to make it.
SantaPod seems like a good idea, somewhere to camp or hotel's near by. entertainment during the day and a chance for people to really show off there times!
I think the problem being is that in the past there has not been enough options for everyone to get involved.
At least if people want a cheap weekend they can camp or for the more sophiticated coupe owner at the hotel they can sit back and relax in the bath with a glass of wine knowing that there pride and joy isn't parked in a field.
someone make a decsion and say,
"SEPTEMBER LINKED WITH AGM"
I for sure would love to see this pulled off with a vast number of coupes.

I may be at one of the furthest points from the midlands, but if a date is arranged then i will be there, even if it is a long drive, id love to see 50-75 coupes in one place at one time, even the south east meet at grasshopper last year had quite a good turn out and was a lovely day.
