The Focus is still off the road while the garage tries to locate a steering rack and today the sodding coupe decided to half start, then die and wouldn't restart curse Hopefully, a one off and not a reappearance of the fuel pump issue that bockers fixed frown

...fortunately, the trains were behaving themselves or I would have gone back to bed for a duvet day! cloud9

I should have bought that Micra shocked

that convertible micra has something of a Fisher Price My-First-Zonda look about it.

Can't really explain how, something to do with the cockpit glass and rake of the rear lights.

And it still won't sodding start frown

However, the Focus has gone, so should hopefully be sorted tomorrow. Fortunately, the forecast is for fair weather tomorrow so I will cycle to work

Not flooded is it? I think you should get bockers round to fix it properly, he obviously bodged it last time rolleyes

Well it has sat all day, surely it should have de-flooded by now? It does seem odd that it started almost, spluttered and died. Pretty sure it's not the battery again rolleyes

My brother has suggested I get an Aygo shocked

I need 2 cars all the time and was a sod when one went up the spout. Therefore we have 3 cars as in the long run its cheaper as you dont have a headache when one goes down plus a good secondhand coupe is as cheap as chips.

Vics, I very much suspect that my solder join may have failed cry If it started and then died then it would suggest the fuel pump is not working frown

An engine can stay flooded for *days* have you ever successfully started a flooded engine? Ignition off, foot to the floor, then ignition on and crank engine until it finally splutter into life (or battery dies and alarm goes off) but no good if the pump is not working since once the excess fuel is cleared, it needs fresh fuel to keep running...
