Light can play tricks in photos but the front does look different or at least the drivers door - check it out - still a lovely looking car.

I know from my own car that the Crono colour is very light sensitive - even though it is not metallic.

When I went to view my car I had never seen one in the flesh and I found the light sensitivity part of the attraction of the colour - along with its uniqueness. There are/were very few Cronos worldwide and I have yet to find an official brochure that even shows the colour (not even as a swab) in any language for any market.

I think photo 5 on the PH advert especially shows this and picture 2 is again from my own experience down to the light difference from front to back - especially when you see how much more direct light there is over the front of the car in picture 5.

Depending on the light being reflected, the crono can look anything from grey through to a lilac to a almost like the RAF (duck egg) blue under artificial light such as garage forecourt at night .....

idea Go and have a look..... laugh

Agreed the only way to tell is to go and see it - my eye sees a lighter front bumper and bonnet and a front number plate that seems to have been replaced (EU/GB on the front but not on the rear).

I saw one of these a while back and the grey is fantastic - one of my faves.

Had a look at one of these Crono Grey Coupes near Gatwick five or six years ago when my brother was looking for an LE (back when they were still worth £9k!). Loved the colour, only thing that didn't sit quite right with me was the owner had put a red pin-stripe in the slashes. He did say he'd had quite a few people asking when he was going to finish painting it tho!

Can you beleive it - The owner actually emailed me about this car a couple of weeks ago as I have had a Crono LE wanted Ad on Pistonheads for about 5 months! Finally gave up waiting and bought Icebergs Silver one - his email arrived the day after I had left Paul a cheque! Typical!!....still love my Silver one now

Nello, not necessarily..... I spotted last night what I think eagle eyed Bosco may be getting at - in the interior shot there is no climate control - I can only see standard heater dial and no MAXDEF on the direction/control dial.....

Might be push button aircon?

More reason to be pleased you got your one wink

Just spoke to the guy selling it, it is having the bolster on the drivers side fixed and some other little bits. I'm hoping to have a look at it on monday, it has had some fresh paint on the front of the car, so I will investigate that!

I'll keep you boys posted! Mr C

mrc - Definately have a look. Chrono's are extremely rare.

Otherwise ill go and buy it! laugh

For reference the red stripes on the side were fitted to all chrono greys. Most 'sensible' owners removed them though.

That said looking at the registers I'm genuinely suprised how few any of the LE's are now.........

I actually quite like the red shading in the slashes on the crono coupe's.

It looks like a good one, have you ever seen it in your place Rog ?

Oh and the red 'shading' is actually a thin sticker, up close it looks like a home made effort IMO.

Ah, never seen one close up, in fact never seen a chrono in the flesh, only in pictures.

I'll trust your better judgement though smile

thanks for all the interest inthe car.

yes it does have aircon (which I need to get re-gassed and see if it works with gas or needs further attention)

Yeah, the one I looked at wasn't even particularly straight, hence why I thought it was an aftermarket thing.
