Quick question, What if any other bravo parts do i need to fit my FK coilovers



i gather i need the rubber mounts from a 1.6 bravo(5)
any thing else

Benny - these should just slot into the original top mount?

bravo top mounts for kw,s

for bravo top mount KW'S use upper spring seat , so the top mount goes on top of this seat .

If you messure fk spring and strut diameter , then you can work it out what seat it needs.

But a while ago i remeber Jimbo doing some experimenting with bravo top mounts with FK's, which inturn improve the ride.

Ah - ok. I was worried you were having trouble getting them on the car.

Part number 7 on Benny's original ePer pic is a "cup" which can be turned upside down and put on top of the spring underneath the top mount to keep the spring fixed in position, a bit Heath-Robinson but it works fine (if you ask Jimbo nicely he might have some left ) Unfortunately the pics in Jimbo's thread have gone AWOL

I'll order the parts tomorrow and put some pics up when assembled.

My whole photobucket account seems to have gone AWOL ? Knew those F-22 cockpit photos would get rhumbled eventually!

Out in the desert at the moment but will try and sort it when I'm home next week.

Got all my bravo mounts and cups.

Yep, that's it, not as "proper" a fit as buying the right part from KW but it works fine and it makes the ride so much better...enjoy!

could this seats not be used with standard 20vt top mounts???

Your missing a vital part there Benny.

You need the FK spring top cup on top of the spring, then the Bravo cup on top of that.

Your corect there jimbo

Just had a look at them and i can see how the fk spring cup holds the spring in place
and how when attached to the mont the lot can sort of move without the spring twisting

( excuse my poor knoledge/suspension terms )

unfortunatly i have'nt fitted them yet as i'm waiting on a replacement insert.

Do i need the fk bearing on top of the spring cup, then the bravo cup on that, or just the cup

No, just the cup that the bearing should sit in. It will make sense when you assemble it all.
