How did you position the top bolt in the "slot" in the FK's before you tightened the bolt? I started with the bolt in the middle, but after borrowing Nigel's camber guage the best I could get to standard settings (with the modest lowering as opposed to the floor-scraping I started with) was with the bolt all the way back, no wait, all the way forward, no wait, errrrrm I'm not sure, did I write something on a thread recently? I think you'll find that playing with the position also affects toe-in, so go play!

Setting my camber to -1.5 degrees gave me HUGE toe out (about 10mm) - it killed a pair of front tyres in a week (although they were ready for replacement anyway)

the turn-in was staggering, although it wouldn't drive in a straight line, even if I tried.

You need to get the tracking set up ASAP - 2mm toe in, +/- 1mm

I've got the top sloted bolt in line with the lower one so the wheels are upright.

sorry to sound stupid but i cant see that causing the toe out confused its going down to ATS on monday anyway.

If you look at the car head on, you can see the front wheels pointing out slighty,

Ben

As soon as you adjust the camber it alters the toe too.

When your setting the camber on the slotted top bolt hole, you can see the toe angle changing as you move the hub in and out.
Remember the track rod is also attached to the hub using a fixed bar so as the hub pivots in and out with the camber setting there is also another pivot with the track rod on the hub.

ATS will sort it all out but ask them to do the camber too.

Part of the problem solved love

Slackend the strut to hub bolts and eased the hub back to its natural postion, which inturn have made the wheels straight rolleyes

Its over ATS tomorrow as they are short staffed today laugh

As for toe-in i gather the coupe should have -2mm and what/how much camber -1degree confused

Ben

I use -1.5 degree and I think it works okay. A standard Coupe has -40' +/- 30' (' = minute)

One other question for you guys: does the toe change on full acceleration?

I'd ask for standard toe settings with about -1.2 camber. Anymore camber and it will be a pain for normal driving, running higher camber makes the car wander and feel very light at centre of the steering.
