Call Phil Lanes on 07717885420 with regard to installing + mapping the OMEX.
I've heard negative things about the race logic TC. I would do without TC personally as I find it intrusive on every car I have driven that has it, but if I had to have it I would go for the OMEX.
Flea is the chap to get in touch with regarding live mapping the bosch ECU.

reason i want traction control is because i find it quite dificult balencing clutch and throttle to eliminate wheel spin and thats at 340bhp id hate to imagine what it will be like at arround 450bhp. i understand that other drivers might be able to eliminate wheel spin (nigel your of them) but maybe i just dont have that ability. also tc is a safty feature, with 450bhp at tap im sure traction control is somthing to consider.
suba where is phil lanes i will most probably give him a call

http://ggmotorsport.co.uk/category/news/Another option to help you with launching would be for you to use a boost controller that allows you to run lower boost in 1st gear. Many cars with racelogic have found they are quicker over a 1/4 with it off.... Another thing to consider is the power delivery of the turbo - I'm guessing that you are using a GT28RS, which is very on/off. A GT30 will spool more slowly giving you traction due to a more progressive torque curve.

don't know of problems due to excessive use of TC, but my car with more than decent tyres, on Greek roads (yeah, I know but nothing I can do about it other than immigrate...) is SAFE with TC on and fun-> dangerous with it off. Surely you can be v.careful all the time, but in the few cases you're not it will make a hell of a difference! [plus it makes a hell of a noise , wonder why none mentioned it!] V.

yiasou vaso yes yes im greek too lol you have racelogic on your car don't you? also dont forget roads in greece are very dry and heat tyres up well which makes them stick better imagine going round a bend in the rain, in the uk and getting it wrong. (on track obviously)

i hav a fair it of racelogic experienceon the 20VT. I seriously wouldnt bother, it cuts ignition quite suddenly, which is why as Suba has said, cars made he quarter mile quicker with it off. Also launching you modded coupe in lower gears (1st specifically) is the first way of encouraging your PS belt to derail and wallop your cambelt. High powered coupes are ideally used above 50mph, where they are suited best. Traffic light monsters are not possible.

Rog, not driven a 20vt with racelogic, but mine is rather smooth getting into the "cutting". It is also fairly easy to alter the cut duty cycle so to speak and make an even smoother delivery (not that I have done so, but the s/w is there and easy enough to edit.
BTW, since we have an open discussion on the Greek forum on why some modded 20vt have a tendency to jump teeth (through derailed PS belts) would you care to elaborate the launching relevance. Cannot quite get the point.
TurboNick,
hi there, when was the last time you drove in Greek roads mate? Your theory is good, but the tarmac is crap (mostly) so it doesn't work like that. I can easily spin 4th gear in many roads around here...
Cheers
V.

Race Logic runs fine with Omex ECU.
I know as I had both systems together runing in my 147 turbo
Both now sold as Im going full Motec M800 and digital dash display setup.

Right Mr OMEX to the rescue I have fitted the OMEX 710 into Squids’ car and that has already been mapped. It needs a few more tweaks as we ran into some oil/ intake temp problems, but so far it’s looking really promising. I also have an OMEX 710 ready to install onto mine very soon. It can also control NOS/Aquamist really well. The launch control is another great feature. Data logging to is also help full. Regarding TC the OMEX is setup to use it but the modular that controls it has not been released yet so as it stands there is no TC but when it is released it can just plug in. I don't know how good their system will be but I’m sure if its setup properly it will be great. Best to call OMEX and speak to Andy. The mapping is fixed at £450 all in and maybe even cheaper if I give you my map once the colds starts are perfect. We both run 630cc Siemens injectors and MAP sensor. If you need it fitted I can come to your place and wire it in while you wait

@nigel hello mate when coming onto boost in 2nd my car would go into a wheel spin sometimes all the way to the end of 2nd and i am running toyo t1r's and i do rate them as they stopped me wheel spining with a gt28rs,then i went gt30 and its back

I dont want to go off topic here - but there is a lot more to eliminating wheelspin than the tyres.

you know what as soon as i typed that i thought to my self roads in greece are crap!! lol apart from in maybe athens since after the olympics lol I'm going to see Andy tomorrow so I can ask on your behalf. sedicirich that would be brilliant. If you could ask how far away they are from finishing their TC and how long it will take them to release. cheers Turboj by the time i buy this hopfully, well more than likely suba's car will be done and maybe we could have a review on it . £450 is a good price considering the work involved.

"Traction control is in advanced development and will be a free software upgrade to all users when completed." -OMEX
It won't eliminate any wheel spin it just controls it, so it will only be as good as the person who maps it. I have access to some really good TC control algorithms that need testing but will have to wait until the OMEX TC upgrade is finished.

OK, as someone who has been driving a Coupe with the Omex 710 in, all I can say is that it performs very well so far. The car is not perfect yet as I still have to get the cold start and idle perfect, but that is all included in the mapping price.
I had some problems with the intercooler being full of crap and my aquamist pump failing for the second time. but the car still made 414bhp & 414 ft/lbs of Torque, which is quite astonishing to drive on the road.
I do have to be very careful with wheel spin and because of this I restrict the boost to in low gears. For the big power runs, the car was mapped to 2 bar. If I use that on anything less than perfect road conditions it can spin the wheels in 4th.
As said above, when driving a car as powerful as this on the road you quickly learn that stomping down with the right foot can lead to trouble, so you will have to adjust your driving style a little. However, people will inevitably tune their cars in increments so it not be a big problem.
All in all, I am very happy with the OMEX. It makes me confident that the car can make the best use of the modifications as I always felt like live mapping the Bosch ECU was not the best solution. Also, it is nice that there are literally hundreds of tuning companies that will be able to map a Coupe running an OMEX system.
Other issues to consider are that you will need to convert to a MAP sensor and that the wiring loom is extra, but I can't remember how much.
As Jason said, the traction control will be a free software upgrade from OMEX when they have finished it. I believe they will use a similar system to the one used on big powerboats to stop the engines over revving through jumps.
If it is better performance you are after, the OMEX is a much better option than the racelogic, and it may prove cheaper when you factor in multiple live mapping sessions on the Bosch.
