the pagid and dba disc combo seem to be a popular choice, there is a group buy on at the mo, worth having a read on there as it provides a lot of info about them, the current group buy is no 10, if you look further back there is more info on the discs and pads on group buy no 6, i bought from this and if you phone competition braking they are really helpful, couple of links below worth having a read

3G discs are excellent and a lot of forum members use them

i would change your title to lower case too before the mods see it!!

Is this the same Bananaman that used to be on here years ago ?

Pagid kit seems to be the best available for the coupe.

I've ran Red Dot 20 groove discs and pads for the last two years - they are also excellent!

I got through TWO sets of red dots which both warped. I kicked up a fuss and got all my money back.
Then I had Tar Ox fitted with fast road pads. These are a vast improvement over standard. But you have to remember to use them when you set off, as without a bit of warmth you get a shock at the end of your road !!

i cant say enuff good things about EBC Yellowstuff pads. works from cold and great for trackday duty as well. only complaint is that it dusts quite a fair bit.

I am impressed with the EBC yellows too, just wondering if there is any value in putting them on the back too ?

I doubt the rears would get warm enough for them to start working Mike, unless you have the 300mm rear disc conversion.

3G discs are only average - nothing special - many people have warped them

You need to realise that the Coupe's brake cooling is marginal at best - the 20VT just doesn't get enough airflow around the wheelarch area

standard rear discs are just fine - they do VERY little work, so just fit the Textar pads and you'll be OK

Hi mate, good to hear the news on yellow stuff as just bought set with intention of track day! My problem is I am stumped on which lines to go for as Goodridge have told me no way on the coupe!! Really feel braided only way to go ,and want to do away with standard rubbers on the front. What do you and and everyone else out there do please? Chris

Thinking of going for the pagid (yellow) and dba disc combo - has anyone with this had any problems with squealling?

Have put up with it squealling like a pig everytime I stop for the last few months and want to avoid it with whatever I replace it with!

You'll still get squealing with the Pagid/DBA combo, although correct bedding in makes a lot of difference

I just learn to put up with it
