Yup I smeared some peanut butter on the b-pillars and left them for about 5 mins.

Before

During

After

And Again

Finger licking good work if you ask me. The pics don't really do it justice. The pillers were quite chalky before.

I'm gonna try the wing mirror bases now and I'll let you know how they end up.

I normally use autoglym bumper care on my pillars, it does a great job.

The autoglym stuff smells better too, as I hate peanut butter.

You'll have to put a disclaimer on your car door now warning people " may contain traces of nuts"! laugh

On the plus side, if any scrote tries to nick it who has a nut allergy, you'll probably find him on the floor in the morning post anaphylactic shock!

Back on topic, I wish I could find a way of getting in the tight crevices of the pillar badge with cleaner! Everything I try leaves just that bit too much residue in there.

I imagine you'd be there for hours picking out the lumps if you'd not used smooth peanut butter though!

I remember reading years ago about people putting peanut butter on their plastic bumpers to restore them (in the days before colour-coded bumpers obviously). Thought it was worth a try. I did my wing mirrors too and they came up a treat smile

I bought some smooth "Sun-Pat" peanut butter last night and made a quick sarnie outta it to test it's consistency.

It past with flying colours!!

As soon as I get home it'll be nutty B-pillars all the way!!

Might not be the best idea Karlos. If i'm right in thinking, you want a 'natural' peanut butter. These are easily identified because the peanut oil seperates from the peanuts giving you a 3/4 tub full of peanut smoothie, and 1/4 pure peanut oil.

On this note, has anyone just tried using peanut oil from a bottle?

Chinese supermarket. Groundnut oil as it's called is the only one for good stir fries. Tescos et al very often don't stock it - bit bazaar.
