Most insurance provides third party cover on any vehicle not owned by 'you' I would think Greenlights the same. The car in question must have a valid insurance policy though.

ring and ask them

This is actually getting rarer, insurers don't like the risk.

At the moment there is no requirement for the vehicle to have a valid insurance policy, unless you're going to leave it parked on a public road, but I believe the law is changing this year to require all vehicles that aren't SORN'd to be insured.

Dear monos, a secret truth.

I'm with greenlight - and covered for any other car third party. However they are a broker, so it's going to depend on what company they go with for you I would have thought. Call and ask!

You have to be over 25 for this to be on the document and i would ask them to make sure it was on the cover note as well so as to avoid any confusion when yours is off the road and using someone elses car lol

It depends on your age and the insurer in questions criteria.

The average criteria is drivers aged 25 and over who are not involved in the motor trade.

Some insurers exclude Driving other cars benefit if the policy is limited mileage.

If you give us a call on 01277 26303 we will be able to confirm for sure if the benefit is included on your policy/quotation.

Best Regards
Neil
