You've mademe question my decision...I'm running an ImprezaLtd Edition N/A which unfortunately I've got to sell due to settling bills, so out of the £1200 left, I opted for a Coupe. Am I making a mistake? I'm not spending all of it, as I'm anticipating problems now

Calm down - you haven't even bought it yet and the paranoia is starting. Something could go wrong with the coupe but there again something could go wrong with any car you buy. Did everything look ok when you looked at it? Coupes are no more prone to problems than any other car as long as it's been well looked after.


If you don't mind me asking how much is it?
Whatever you save on buying the car you will probably end up paying double on problems later

get a good one, you wont have a seconds problem, get a bad one, you will regret every day of it.

that all said, you have chosen the most reliable provem model of coupe out there

so chill, you SHOULD love every second of it, and were lucky that such a great forum is available for all our little niggles

True Sam but having change out of £1200 sounds very cheap to me.

I won't give everything away about price until I bring it back, so I'll keep you in suspense! lol

I know all used cars have niggling issues, so I am prepared for that as I've had my own fair share. Just hoping there'es nothing major wrong. The car looks in immaculate condition and the current owner was a Fiat mechanic for about 7 years, and running his 2nd coupe, which stands it in good stead.
Also had Cambelt done along with other belts.

mrs lickyl, i had the option of getting a very good 16v for around 500 a week or so ago. there going for silly money at the moment

I agree, with the budget I'm working on, I've had a good solid look round for a few weeks, and I think that the older models '93-'97 are going cheap. Not many n/a's about, but you can pick a well looked after one up for around about £1k.

nope, the standard aeriel is the demister in the rear window.
