Do I spend more on the coupe than it's worth, or get a new car?

Well the repair/maintenance has already won... laugh

Just had a browse on piston heads and autotrader and the only thing that really tempts me is an Alfa GT *cough* JTD *cough* ( I do a lot of motorway miles )

The coupe isn't worth much, but it's worth more to me than I'll be spending on it, and as lovely as the GT looks, a house deposit is higher on the priority list.

It's a slippery slope from here wink

I think if you're doing a lot of miles, the Alfa diesel makes a lot of sense no matter how much you love the coupe.

I definatley agree with you that the Alfa is a good choice for a lot of miles, but it's going to cost me £6000-7000 more than repairing my coop. At the moment I don't really want/have that sort of money to spend.

Plus, the Alfa is still a used car and chances are it will need money spending on it as well.

At least with the Coupe you know where you are with it.
