All these list are sh*te IMHO. I've run loads of Fiats and Saabs, an I've had no breakdown in any of them. The Saabs in particular needed nothing but an annual service, I never did any work on them other than topping up fluids, and even then that was rare, superb machines. The coop I can understand to a point, it is a high performance car, most are well used by now and they were kind of hand built, I've read somewhere that the coop was the most returned car in Fiats history due to quality control issues, although neither of mine have broken properly yet, I have had close calls, the last one being my radiator leak, which was my fault anyway!
If you want unreliability, my mates RX8 is a prime example, he's returned one, and the second is close to going the same way followed by court action!
Anyway, I suppose these lists keep someone in a job!

It would be interesting to know the average value of the claims. A new engine is a bit more serious than a blown bulb but shows up as the same thing on this statistic.

The coops reputation was partly why I spent so long looking before I bought.
In saying that I have been pretty happy with reliability over the past couple of years. Front wishbones are an annoyance. Infact they're a bloody joke. But I cant really complain.
I use the cheapest of everything I can find to service it and shoe it and stop it and it starts and goes and stops just fine. My coop doesn't even use much oil.
However I'm always still in a state of coop paranoia. It's pretty understandable though. I spend too much time reading too many posts on here.

The front wishbone thing can be solved with Powerflex bushes, apparently. They cost about twice as much but last forever.........sort of.
OK, I know it's not standard before you all start.

my coupe's went wrong once! only once But its when I needed it to be reliable the most. 3AM January 150 miles from home 10 miles from manchester airport after a 4 hour flight from Tenerife, just me and the missus. The slave cylender went leaking hydrolic fluid so I couldn't use the clutch, managed to get to an motorway hotel though.

It's only a list of warranty claims anyway. If your car was ropey, you'd fork out for a warranty eh?
