Hi, looking for a new exhaust now as my Supersprint is dead. Interested in the cybox system inc sport cat, but only concern is it's a 2.25in system. No idea what the superspint ones are though.
Would this be ok? Dont want to lose power frown
Turbo's uprated an all so no probs there, plus novitec head work etc, about 260bhp.

Cheers for help in adv

Chris

I had one of these not a bad exhaust they are actually a peco stainless exhaust, the only problem i found was it out grew my mods and became restrictive.

Thats what i'm worried about, at what point did it become restrictive? Mines not heavily modded.
Cheers

probably after 280bhp,i went for a blue flame system which is lovely not to load and you could feel it was more free flow, i think Rog at power italia is now selling them have a look at there post in one of the lower sections. The thing is you may not be to modded at the mo but that could soon change and them you have to go a buy another system which is false economy.

Flea reckons with my mods about 280bhp after one of his remaps, prob be enough for me though.
Cybox is good value though £400 ish for system inc 100 or 200 cell sport cat. Dont think my cat is too well so was going to swap it the same time. Blueflame inc cat is £600+, no doubting they're cracking systems though.

Thanks Dan. Cant be stupidly restrictive then, esp with the sport cat on too.
As Jamie said though first 280bhp then ???, though i am quite happy at 260 plus a little extra from Flea when its mapped, should be plenty.
Price on Blueflame systems isnt too bad £280ish, but their cats arent though, extra £330:( .

im not sure how it can be restrictive? i thought that it was a straight through stainless pipe, unless it the back box that restricts? (forgot to say i got a h&s down pipe too and a decat so that might have helped get my figures)
i think the exhausts are the same bore as standard? so any sports cat maybe used?? i maybe wrong.
try a decat... its a whole new beast them wink

Don't worry about it, it won't be restrictive unless you're Really starting to mod! fit + enjoy smile

Cheers guys, think Cybox it is then.
Going for the 100 cell sport cat, rather stay legal, and local garage i use can be a bit funny at MOT time about the decat i had before .
Thanks again chaps
Chris

its the int boresize and the design of the pipe which runs through the back box which is restrictive. i first bought the coop so i didnt have to mod it and now 5yrs later and spent £6-7k modding it. why dont you get a blue flame with decat pipe then get your local power flow or some one like that to flange the decat pipe and your old cat so at mot time you can just unbolt the decat and slide your cat back in.I promise you will notice the difference. i done a track day when i had the cybox on and people watching said afterwards nice car but god your exhaust sounds restrictive.
I leave it at that.

But remember, run a decat on a standard turbo and you'll need a new one in six months as the seals will go due to the reduced back pressure.....

you will know if it coming past you while you are on the pitwall, and the people who said it where tuners from my area, i also got some one to look at the design of the back, if you have a look down the tail pipe you will see.

my blueflame catback arrived yesterday but cant fit till the weekend because car is in the spray shop getting beautified!! Blueflame catback system is 2.5", their full system is 2.75" with or without sportscat. chris just to clarify its not £330 extra just for cat because the full system inlcludes a new downpipe which will allow for better flow through your turbo because of the bigger diameter. the only problem is that like someone mentioned earlier the joints don't match the original design so you can't swap cat in or out easily

It can be done had my blue flame 2.75" turbo back system with standard cat fitted so when MOT came could swop round all they do is weld 2 pieces of 2.75" stretched pie work at either end of the cat so it fits theblue flame pipe work cost me £50.

If i'm gonna go for the blueflame one it has a sport cat so not necessary to swap pipes over.
