Just curious to see what air temps you guys with widgets are seeing at the moment, once the engine is properly warmed up? Today mine was typically 43-44°C when moving swiftly along, closer to 50°C when bumbling along in traffic less than 40mph, this is with a ProAlloy FMIC. I seem to remember temps about 10°C higher in the past when I had the Pace chargecooler, and that was when the ambient temps were a little less. Anyone?

I'm seeing about the same Dave. The minimum it seems is around 35degrees - when booting it the temperature actually starts to go down (possibly due to airflow over the sensor).
I have been contemplating making up an ally pipe with a sensor mounted into it that can be mounted away from the engine - possibly just after the FMIC.
I still believe that the air coming out of the FMIC is a lot cooler than what the sensor says. In my previous set up I had 2 sensors (from maplins). One mounted after the FMIC and one just before the throttle. The temperature got hotter towards the throttle.
Does anyone know if moving the sensor before the throttle would affect running of the car. I presume that its been mounted on the plenum for convenience.
