I'm slightly confused. Need a baby seat, but is the only seat that the Coupe can take one that uses the seat belt fixtures? That is different to Isofix I believe, but is Isofix something that can be fitted at all?

The seat would also have to go into a Fiat Panda 100HP, and possibly the Boxster (though less likely. Porsche also charge to switch off the airbag, I think. A lot!)

There are no Isofix points, and I wouldn't have thought you could retrofit them either. I found the Britax baby seat to have the best fit - basically go for one that doesn't have too much of that plastic base element going on, or the seatbelt won't extend far enough.

Manufacturers will have a compatibility checker so you can enter your cars details, then it'll show you what you can have.

Isofix is factory fitted i believe so different to standard seats

Thanks for the info - glad there is no retrofitting of anything! If its just a seatbelt fitment, then it should also work in all three cars, I hope.

You really need to go to a knowledgable shop and try some. Look for a small indenpendant selling car seats.

As far as Isofix goes, it is way better than using a seatbelt to attach a seat. You often get a base unit that clicks into the isofix fittings, onto which you attach the car seat. Highly recommended.

The car seat on it's own can also be just attached by seatbelt fittings. So, your challenge is to find an isofix seat that fits a Panda, then try the seat on it's own in the Coupe.

Something like this :-

Thanks for the info. I wish i had Recaros for my main seats!

Once you buy an Isofix base, can you use that when you get a bigger seat as the baby grows?

Does that mean you have to change to a different seat? We were looking at the Mamas and Papas seat too. The Britax came top in a What Car? test recently though - that might be a good one to check.

my sister works for mother care and she recomends the mams n papas as its been around longer and is alot mor ridgid and safer these reviews people do are old folks with no kids dont traust that as for modding i think if you pu the child seat in behind the passenger seat use the rear drivers passenger buckle so no risk of damaging the seat
