Anyone got any thoughts on this Plus for sale on Fleabay?

Linky

I thought that it generally looked OK, but the amount of rust at the front of the engine bay seemed quite bad. Is that normal for a higher mileage vehicle?

This one has been on Fleabay before I believe.

Rusty slam panels aren't unusual nowadays, common issue unfortunately, but the corroded rad will need changing.

They are prone to rusting in that area, but that's the worst I've seen shocked

If you look at the bonnet, above where that slam panel is, that looks marked on the photos too?

Maybe the car is parked in an area where the rain, etc keeps getting to it?

As you've said, the rest of it looks ok at a quick glance

Rusty... if you would strip the paint on any Coupe's slam panel, you'd be surprised...

Why the heck don't sellers like this get the documentation up to date before they sell. For me, missing V5 is a 'walk away'.

Wow that's some impressive rust. It makes me feel much better about my surface rust!

No one seems to have mentioned the mileage. 177k which is pretty impressive.

I would imagine lots of motorway miles / wet conditions. Also there is a home attempt at the front lip of the car.

But saying that if everything else stacked up it might be a good car. Still overpriced for what it is and the mileage, but it might a a good car (and you could get a set of plus seats in there as well).
