I would be keen to put the Goodyear F1 Assyms on the Boxster. However, there is the issue of having an N rated tire on the Porkers (those are tires specifically tested by Porsche). Some insurance companies insist on it, so I need to go with the Contis. When my Yokos eventually go on the Coop, I would look at the F1s again - they are always very highly rated in the wet.

Cheap tyre shine will ruin the sidewalls of your tyre very quickly, i always tell car wash places to not to apply any to my tyres.

Picture is showing cracks on the shoulder / tread area, not the sidewall, hopefully no tyre dressing applied to that area wink

No, tyre dressing is only on the sidewall smile

Well, visited the car this evening and I know its been sat for a few weeks but the front tyres were looking so low. Rears (Eagle F1s) were looking fine.

Checked the pressures and the Toyos were down to 17psi and the Goodyears were sitting happy at 33psi.

Decided there and then to get a divorce from the T1-R soon as possible. I'll be having matching Goodyears on the front fitted on Saturday.

Seriously unimpressed with the Toyos and consider them to be a total waste of money.

Never heard this before nor experienced it. Any proof?
