aerial booster - where does it take it's power?

carried out a search and read faqs, does the power come from the head unit harness and am I correct in saying it is 12v? old subject I know but have zero reception since new Panasonic hu fitted.

Yes and yes, it was traditionally used to power electric aerials, it should be +12V all the time the head unit is on.

ok no power to the amp, so what wire from the hu provides the power? Looked at the how to guide and it does not provide the detail?

Hi mate, when I fitted my power ariel years ago I just spliced into the switched 12v for the HU Paul

Paul/John, thanks. I want to make sure that I dont cook the harness...so will shortly push 12v through the Auto aerial wire. Fingers crossed!
