Hi all, just after some opinions really, I have a set of 17" tsw venom alloys on my coupe, not my choice they were on the car when I bought it and apparently cost £1000. The car is lowered which improves the handling alot but means I can't go back to standard alloys which I was happy with on my old coupe.......... I was considering buying a new set of perhaps more tasteful 17s but also toying with the idea of refurbing the venoms and spraying them black to see how they look and also more importantly at the mo to save money. What do you guys think, to old school chav? tsw alloys Cheers John

Why can't you go back to standard alloys? Surely the roling radius is the same (bigger alloys, thinner tyres?).
I'm not keen on black on any car to be honest, prefer silver, but maybe a grey like the LE wheels would be okay?

Hi mate, if I go back to standard the car will probably sit quite a bit lower? Living around London I am plagued by speed bumps and have to go at a snails pace as it is Thanks for your comments! Cheers John

It shouldn't sit any lower, measured from tread to tread my tyres are 60cm.
If your rubber is also that diameter it won't make any difference.

If you want to keep 17 Alloys then what about these. Coupe Pics I think they suit (but then I would)!

spray them black and if you don't like them go back to standard alloys , there will be no difference in the rolling radius . i have 18's ( bigger rim less rubber ) and the rolling radius is the same as my old 16's ( smaller rim more rubber ) .

Yes Bockers very tempting, now have you got a set you perhaps don't need and could perhaps give to me being the generous handsome fellow that you are? I didn't consider going back to standard due to the car being lowered but now it seems like an option! Cheers John

Honestly i think that your Venoms look great on a Ford Focus ST or a VW Corrado VR6- ish car. They do are diff than most wheels!
I dont think they will look good in black, anthracite grey would probably be a nice colour tho!!!
