I'm not after reading today's Auto Express .

In the magazine they're testing the new Signum VXR and in one of the pictures they have this shot.



It seems that the engine oil pressure at below hot idle is only 1.6 Bar,and here we're all getting our knickers in a twist about low oil pressure in our 100K+ mile engines .

Of course it could be that because it's a V6 engine it'll have a lower idle speed than the Coop's and that could account for a lower pressure too,then again that might be just Coupé paranoia creeping in again .

The Coupe idles about 750 doesn't it ? I thought that was quite low

720rpm which is on the low side.

Isnt it a 2.8 V6 anyway? The oil pump is probably dying from the factory trying to force 6 litres or so round the block...
