£60.00 cash, but try this link for further details.

So clean any details of the process ?

I think it is a bit like dry media blasting but using water and a very fine aggregate at very high pressure.

Mmm still not sure.
I have used autoglym engine and machine cleaner, worked it in with a dishwasher brush and used carb cleaner to get it off on my water rail and it looks just as clean!!

I don't know how long it stays this clean, but you can use ACF-50, which is an anti-corrosion spray for metals and protects, penetrates and lubricates and is used widely by motorcyclists, to stop aluminium corrosion on engine parts.

just had a quick read up on the acf-50 (as i didnt know what it was) and found that it can attack some rubbers, i dont think it will be a problem on the coop though (would it?)

Unfortunately, I am a bit of a perfectionist, and I have invested a lot of time and money in this project, so I will make sure I try and keep it this clean cloud9

if you go to all that trouble, take the exhaust pulley off, & clean & paint, it, as the timing ring WILL rust & cause probs with the hall effect sensor smile

I did a load for Barbz ages ago & had them zinc plated smile

I was going to buy new ones when they came up on eBay, which there is one at the moment. However, I do now have the facilities to zinc plate, so will chemically strip the light rust off using citric acid and give them ago with the zinc plating.

This is the end result with one of the pulleys, but the other pulley must be a different type of metal as it would not take the zinc plating? I had the same problem with the power steering pulley. Could they be made of iron and not steel? Would this make a difference?
