Well after having a thoroughly embarrassing conversation with BarmyBob at the last meet where he told me he my rear lights were pink.... Only for me to point out his were the same. I have decided action must be taken. I would of thought him having a green coupe would really stop him from throwing stones but obviously not... It got me thinking ... don't even say it Stan... just stay quiet ... Jap and Marco had some "Red" brake lights for their cars. Not sure it makes a wonderful difference but am open to options. So what choices are there. Red coloured ones? Rear LED Bulbs to fit the standard lights? Do they exist or did I make them up? If so does anyone know where to get them from? Links to shops that sell the bulbs? This is my cheap and comforting musing for another thing I can fix on the car. So spectrum of Forum users hit me with the options you know about!

I bought these bulbs for my rear lights a while back and the difference between them and standard filament bulbs was amazing, the old lights looked orange and washed out compared to the solid red LED ones . They were a bit fiddly to fit but nothing a little filing of the bulb aperture didn't sort out. I never took a pic of the standard filament bulb compared to the LED one but here's a photo of the LED bulb compared to my LED rings that I have now. Check out this post for a cheaper alternative to the popular rear LED ring mod too . Baz

Modding the car is completely out of the question for me so no LED conversion. I like the look of your multi LED rear light but the word filing Aren't there any direct replacement bulbs in red

I like the look of your multi LED rear light but the word filing Lol it wasn't major work to fit the LED bulbs. The bulbs did fit without any work but I had to kind of "spiral" them in to avoid breaking any of the LED's,after a light filing they fitted no problem . Baz

No moved to the styling section to never be seen again! Have you gave up on the thread yourself? Baz Smartie Okay well following the links above (thanks to Hyperlink)I have come across a few different options: The ones Baz used Sort of the same as Baz's but not as good A nice standard replacement I am thinking about going for the first set and ordering one of the top and one bottom and seeing which looks better. I kind of like the idea of replacing all the original bulbs with LED's as it is less to worry about. But my only concern is how bright they will be. Anyone know if you can replace the fog lights/rear indicators/ reverse lights etc with LED's or done so?

The problem I found with your second option style bulbs were they weren't bright enough IMHO. I've got LED bulbs in my rear fog and reverse lights too. I changed my rear fog/indicator lens for a reverse/indicator lens so I had some symmetry with the lights at the back. I fitted a red LED bulb to the offside and a white LED bulb to the nearside (the same type as your second option bulbs) but I could do with brighter ones in,especially for the rear fog (although you can't really miss the back of my car at night now anyway ) . If your planning on changing all your indicators to LED's then you'll need to fit resistors as they'll blink like mad with the low resistance of the LED bulbs . Baz
