great for performance, but it'll be impossible to fit the rest of your exhaust system

Motormech will make you the rest of the system to make it 3" all the way through

Lovely noise wink

the problem isn't whether or not it will physically fit, its the step in the internal bore that you'll get if you fit a smaller diameter pipe - not good for gas flow

Ive got my race cat off the car so i can mate it to the DP to see how far off it is.

Or thinking about it i could get my decat pipe which is 2.7' cut and tapered up to 3' which is cheaper cool

Ben - why not get Motormech to make you a new cat replacement section with a taper from 3" to 2.75" - you could then sell your decat

Really good mistake smile

After your great results here, I'll be interested to see the difference of the 3" H&S downpipe. Are you do planning for new mappinng/RR sessions after the DP installation?

Luke, this has been sold frown

Being picked up tomorrow

Some other intresting information is that H&S do a

3'DP which tapers to 2.5'/ 5 stud
3'DP which tapers to 2.5'/ v band
A straight 3' dp all the way rolleyes

Bit of a thread resurrection, bit I'm hunting for infor on these smile

I thought the 3" H&S had a 2.74" section because it simply wouldn't fit otherwise. Is this true?

I ask because if so, I'll just get a 2.75" downpipe back system. If they actually do a 3" straight through DP, and it does fit, I might even get a 3" system like Nigel's.

Cheers all/any smile

The straight 3' one is 3' all the way with no tapers.

Is H&S the only place to get a 3" 5stud DP? or is this something that iceberg/motormech have started to do?
