I'm still not sure whether I imagined this: this very evening, quiet roundabout and only one held at lights located immediately before v.v. long motorway slip road (with dual slip lane), engine nice and warm & just going through my mind that this would be a good opportunity to floor it when ... an Aston pulls up along side closely followed immediately behind it by a Lambo. Both sat quietly at the lights with me thinking this would be too good to be true if they take the same exit as me. Both turn left alongside me and both absolutely floor it.

Just for the record, the old coupe might have got a little warm but it didn't let the side down, not in the least...

i had an aston v8 vantage behind me for a mile or so in traffic tonight, i may only have a 20v but with the stainless pipe and the induction kit the noise it makes is heavenly...

anyway just as we had been roaring up and down between the lights, i was hoping he would fly past me as the road widened out of the limit but instead he turned off!

gutted

nice colour though, sort of a gun metal grey very nice!

Just glad my wife wasn't in the car - because even then I don't think I could have resisted an opportunity like that and then I'd have been in the doghouse for weeks. Some people just don't understand.

In one word? NO!

Both the threads that discuss comparisons are being *very* closely watched by the moderating team.

This might also be a good time to remind forum users that we do not condone racing on a public highway, and that includes "furious driving" i.e. aggressive driving within the speed limit.

I'm sure no-one wants to see posts being locked or deleted so as long as we all stick within the rules, and the spirit of the rules (for example, no "on my private tracks" or "120 leptons" lame-brain posting) then everything will be fine and we can continue to enjoy the forum.

Remember, you have *no* idea who might be reading this forum, or why! wink

I know I'm very silly and am old enough to know better. More to be pitied than scolded. For the avoidance of doubt all strictly within speed limits - probably just holding off giving me an easy time. Stan's right - best to end this right here.
