have to agree about contenders for the price!

a friend of mine has a maxda RX8 - the 231psi one (faster one)

and i've got a 16vt coupe,

out on the runway in a straight line the mazda only just creeps away from me at about 80mph - not much after that your stamping on the brakes! lol.....

I spent 6 months, gave myself 4k to spend. and looked at every car within that bracket, for looks, reliability, build quality, fuel consumption, insurance, other good looking owners..... well it failed on that account, but i could not find a car that came within an inch other than the GTV. So i delved into the GTV before going for the coup, went up and down the country after i came back from afghan and drove maybe 5 of each, i would say the build quality of the coup is slightly better, the engine sound on the GTV is astounding, but you just dont get that solid feeling you do with a good example of a coupe. There are more rattles, more body roll, even though the ride is harder, and a very plastic feeling interior. In my humble opinion and im sure others may disagree, the fiat is a couple of sweeping bends ahead of the grunty alfa.
