The badge does identify the car, but it doesn't really define it does it?

What defines it is the unique design as well as its rarity.

In a way, isn't this like reverse badge snobbery?

Not completely sure, but I think I like it de-badged at the rear (looks cleaner), but very happy with the front one.

I'm also having this dilemma - MC Mike and I are often parked together at work and his is - mines not.......Kinda like the F/I/A/T badge - kinda proud they were able to make such a car - perhaps those Red F/I/A/T ones would look good on an LE?.....hmmmm

The fiat badge with the italian colours underneath looks good - or it might be that I'm just deluded.

TBH, I've never been a fan of badge fever, the back of my cars have mostly been badgeless, although I do think the front tends to look odd without a badge.

Has anyone seen the back of a new Fiesta recently? There's hardly any room at all, yet they seem to fit sometimes 4 badges in the gaps. Ford, Fiesta, Titanium, TDCi, it drives me mad.

And for the record, for me anyway, it's got nothing to do with being embarassed or otherwise, I just think it invariably looks better. But that's just my opinion...

I painted the badge red on mine, in my view it looks much better. Picture of it here - http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd81/andyps1275/Fiat_Coupe/IMG_0356-2.jpg
