can someone remind me what oil pressure the engine should show on the guage when all ok?

had a look at a coupe last night am driving it in a couple of days, but we went for a spin.

The oil pressure guage was showing full pressure (3bar i think) during normal driving and only dropped slightly to around i guess 2.6-2.8 on idle..

does that sound good - i assumed it should run full on driving but wasnt sure on idle

The idle pressure is fine, from memory it should rise to 3bar once above 2k rpm after it's up to temprature.

Mine can go to 1.5 when well warmed - but shoots right up when i apply the throttle..not particularly concerning...as i undrestand

yep when pretty hot mine drops to around 1.5 bar, always rises on acceleration to near enough 3 bar. i'm not concerned in the slightest about this. As other people have reminded me, if there wasn't an oil pressure guage on the car no-one would worry at all!

I agree with the other posts.

One of the worst things about the Fiat Coupe - that damned gauge, wish there wasn't one!
