My friend just sent me THIS WEB LINK to an article about a crash in York last night involving a black Fiat Coupe. It says everyone was OK thankfully!

"A black Fiat coupe driven by 25-year-old Tim Bell of Elvington, was leaving the bar when it was in a collision with a silver BMW driven by 74-year-old Shirley Thorpe of Bishopthorpe "
Hmm young bloke coming out of pub or old dear in beemer
..... who do you give the blame to in your knee-jerk reaction ? Tough choice, but young bloke gets my vote as coupe drivers obviously are great drivers whereas BMW drivers only think they are.

If you read down the comments, it WAS the old lady, she jumped the lights.

I like how the Beemer was obviously so common they couldn't even be bothered to mention what type it was!

The old lady would probably have paid 50p for her insurance and the 25 year old would have had little change from a grand.

Seen that one around a bit. Not the best car in the world - a battered 20V, IIRC, but still a shame.

York really isn't suitable for coupes. They didn't have the 20vt turning circle in mind when they built it.
