No one has yet asked what you want out of the car. handling, looks, power.....

Remember if you go for power then you may also end up spending on a new turbo and clutch with the increased boost and torque.

HID's are a good mod if you drive the car a lot as the standard lights are pants as so many people have said.

A strut brace makes a big difference to how the car feels - it stops that annoying steering wheel wobble over ridges in the road.

A suspension re-fresh - shocks + springs, drop links, top mounts, and full alignment check + setup will make the car that much better to drive. If your current suspension is worn then I'd look at this first, as well as decent tyres.

Looks wise an LE bodykit does wonders as well - AutoDS do them at very good prices. There are also lots of little styling things that you can do - rear light rings, dash rings etc.

Have read the comments on the strut brace with interest - I owned a coop without one then bought a plus, which has one. I couldn't honestly feel any difference - I must be missing something????

HID's and GTEC1 equally for me.

Unless you're really sensitive to the feel of the car, or you really thrash it, you're unlikely to feel the effects of the strut brace.

I reckon the best mod without a doubt is a safety mod: the HID lights, irrespective of legality.

The second best mod is of course the Widget. Not that I'm biased at all, of course.

(and no, there are none available at present.)

One of these days. I have a Master's thesis to get out of the way first.

Well, here's a different suggestion for the pot - purely cosmetic.

Side sills and bumpers - lose the black.

Tell you the truth, Trappy, I haven't had a chance. But I think the stuff I put in the thread should solve your equations for you.
