Hi again Eltel. I guess you missed the Sports and Classic show in Sarisbury in the end. Bit cold but dry. If you didn't make it, it was good. Nice selection of cars of all decades. Only parking on the road but they kindly let me in, with them saying, 'we'll it looks classic to me', which was unexpected. However, not able to 'show' even had it been in show condition. You needed to pre-register. The cars may be all belonging to Locksheath Car Club??? However, if Coupe's were half-way decent they wouldn't have looked out of place there, so maybe something to think about, next time. I left a note in my window for you, with a mobile to call, but as I say, perhaps you didn't make it. I wonder if you want to meet for a quick beer in one of our locals - Fox and Hounds, maybe, or wherever? It would be good to get the cars together whilst we have a bevvy. My coupe will want a pint of oil, please!

Hi Gunzi. Very many thanks for this. I would definitely be up for it. However, sod's law, I have people staying over and can't get underway until late morning, so with you early afternoon. Have read the Brooklands blurb and it recommends early arrival, of course. Secondly, if I am coming I really would like to be amongst the 30 rather than somewhere, a distance away. Note your comment that, once the 30 are filled, it will be necessary to park elsewhere. Do you think it is worth the 'risk': ie, for instance, how's take up on the 30 coming along?
PS. Hope you are interested too, Eltel.

Hi folks. I live in Hamble and haven't seen this one or others for a few years now. There used to be a nice dark green nearby but moved on, I guess. Mine is an Ink/Black. Anybody local want to meet?? This is what it's all about!

Hi Loconut, There is an Italian car meet on Saturday 7 October from around 9:30 am at the Departure Lounge Cafe, Alton, Hants GU34 4BH. There are usually several coupe owners attending. Scroll down to the bottom of This Link for the details. Also see the post in UK social events.
16VT and X1/9 1500
We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using. I even unplugged my own.

Spotted a Chrono Grey LE by Tesco North Harbour near Portsmouth today, looked a lot like the one that Anglia Car Auctions had last week.
If it was I'm wishing I'd bid on it!!! Anyone on here?

Alas I’m no longer an owner as I had to sell mine to restore an Alfa 916 Spider, it’s in safe hands though as John Vocking has it (Bockers on here).
I may have seen your car at Alton Italian Meet, is it F1A**? Always see Pete P and Thunderbox there, envious every time I see a Coupe and like many deeply regret selling mine.
If you’re at the next Alton meet I’ll say hello, all the best Warren

Sorry for the late reply Warren and thanks for yours. When I bought my Coupe, I actually I looked at the hard top V6, which was what I went to see! It was a tough decision, as the styling of both were radical and then there was that iconic Alfa badge and pedigree etc!! Will tell you more perhaps, if we meet up.
Yes, I have that plate but for now, the previous, V20***is on the car. Alton is in the diary, so would really like to catch up. What colour is yours?
Cheers, Terry

Hi Terry, no worries and likewise. I know your car and have seen it a couple of times now, nearest thing to a new Coupe I've seen for a long long time.
My Spider is a Rosso Red P reg. Twin Spark Phase 1 Spider, normally 2 of us turn up with very similar cars...mine is P295***. I have bizarrely never been a fan of the V6 GTV, I've back to backed Coupes' vs a couple including a fully sorted V6 Cup a friend owned and I'd always pick the Fiat if I wanted a roof.....the V6 Spider is even worse to drive.
I always wanted to do a nut and bolt resto on a car and the Spider I've got was the the ideal candidate at the right time, turned out really nicely but took me far too long. My only regret is a friend's long term owned Electric Blue 20VT Plus came up after an inspection by Joe CC revealed it needed 10K plus worth of work on it, he offered it to me as a cheap project but alas I was about a year into my resto by then. It ended up being broken, now that would have been a keeper and I know I could have made it into something really nice.
Speak at Alton, all the best Warren.
