hi guys
after having my lovely new wheels put on to day i am having issues with very bad viration through the car.
steering wheel wobbles like the wheels are un balanced and it can even be felt on the foot rest so it feel bad all through the car.
the rear wheels have brand new tyres and where balanced today and the front tyres have done 3k and caused no problems on the old car what so ever.
the spacers where a very snug fit and required tapping on but these have come off a forum member who has used them and they where perfect so i can't see a issue there and they are h&r spacers and im using wobble bolts too.
also i am running without any spigots as the ones supplied didn't fit but again i can't see why this would cause this as the wheels are tightly bolted on.
other thought is i have had issues with brakes sticking very slightly but the car isn't pulling to one side or anything just over 50 mph it vibrates alot.
any ideas guys

Im Sure it will be the fact you have no spiggot rings on i had the same issue.

The wheels will not be central on the hub and its a lot of stress on your wheel bolts.

The vibration was awful on mine and the car didnt feel safe i took it into kwik fit for balancing and the fitter said i had two spigot rings missing.
(I must have lost them when i refurbed wheels and not noticed)

The wheels were perfectly balanced on the machine but were not giving a true balance on the car without the rings.

Get some quick.

I got a set on ebay. eBay

If the spacers aren't hub centric ones, then you have to check that they are correctly aligned too. If not, you will get the vibration because the spacers will be kind of out of balance, if that makes sense?

No they aren't - they are simply non-concentric

Essentially, the centreline of the wheel is not the same as the centreline of the hub

right guys!
my car is censored
it has killed the front h& r spacers and front wobble bolts, stripped some of the tread on the front hubs so now only 3 wheel bolts fit,it has warpped my new brake discs and maybe killed the drive shaft!
utterly gutted but come saturday i will be a bmw driver not a coop driver anymore :-(

Maybe you shouldn't have driven without the spigot rings then?

have a day off guys!
ok had a problm with not having spigot rings and that is a easy miskate. i asked the tyre fitter who put them on and he said they would be fine then i drove 30 miles on them and i had major problems. bear in mind i love this car and have spent 3 time what it is worth on it makes me rather gutted it has come to this. lets hope you get more simpathy when your coop dies!

Bad Luck PH. Do you know what's happening to the Coupe? I see you're P-Xing it for a 330? Is it going to be scrapped? Which would be insane given the amount of time and money you've put into it.

its not being scrapped. the guy is going to do it up and sell it on again. the problem is that its not worth really carrying on with and the fact he offered me £1600 for it as it is is a good deal so i had to take it.

Sorry to hear about the coop a shame.

i cant beleive the fitter said it would be ok when i took mine in he told me not to drive it but then took the rings off the back wheels and put them on the fronts.
Very considerate for kwik fit id say tongue.

Enjoy your Beemer very nice choice thumb
