The way the bulb is fitted into the fog lights would make it a bit more difficult an install for HID's,I just put some ice white H1 bulbs in to help them match my other lights. Don't buy the LED H1 bulbs from eBay as I found them to be too thick to fit through the slot in the light frame . Anyway HID's in the fogs is a bit overkill is it not ? Baz

Baz Bugger, I thought of the led bulbs actually for more visual light,as I need all the help up here. Ah well, thanks for the tip Baz

Over in Tamworth (west mids) they must have sudden banks of fog dissend without warning as most of them drive round with the fog lights on in antisipation (even in August in the middle of the day!!). Don't do it mate, using the fogs as driving lights is for losers. Just get some HID's for your dipped beams and leave the fogs to the saxo brigade.

In my neck of the woods there is not a lot of traffic & I use quite a .lot of single track roads,.Now? if I meet another car the fogs go off long before we actually come head to head... I have HIDs, its just at times its good to have a little more help

That's a bit "harsh" don't you think jimboy?
I suppose what you need is a button installed on the dash that can toggle all the front lights on your car (other than the headlights) on and off at once.

My experience with LEDs would suggest that it's very unlikely you will get an LED as bright as a front fog.

Harsh! I'm only telling as it is in my neck of the woods. Now in all fairness I don't know how the leds would perform for my needs, but I can confirm I'm no boy racer or saxo chav...... not at my age.. I'm a middle aged man looking for a bit more light In all seriousness, I'm only thinking about these & if they don't shed the right light on things, well they probably wont fit the bill for me

I'm a middle aged man looking for a bit more light No worries We're all searching for something Down south of the border we very rarely get a bit of road to ourselves.... and they use the foglights on well lit 30mph roads Ok, so have your fogs on if you want but please don't let me catch you with a burberry baseball cap and little blue neons on your wiper blades !!

Funny thing is, its getting to that time of the year again when the dark nights are really dark here OK I might be a bit selfish when it comes to light , but I may be a bit blind..... What the hell is a baseball cap? anyway Ah well, I honestly don't want to upset anyone so I'm going to light a fire with a magnifyi Nah that is daft.....

Baz,
Did the LED H1's fit in the side lights? I'm looking for something to match the colour of my HID headlights, and the 'yellowish' side lights look odd...

You just want some LEDs - but they are not H1 for the sidelights. Have a look in the coupe information section and then order some online. Should cost about £8 for the pair.

Baz,
Did the LED H1's fit in the side lights? I'm looking for something to match the colour of my HID headlights, and the 'yellowish' side lights look odd... I got these LED bulbs for my side lights,a bit of a squeeze but they fitted in with a little bit of filing and are much brighter than the usual LED bulbs . These are the waste of time H1 LED bulbs I bought for my fog lights, they took ages to come and are too thick to fit through the bulb aperture ,so avoid those ones. Baz

I've ordered the quad ones ( these) and waiting them to come. Are these the same as you are talking about? These bulbs will fit the parcking light, is that right? I'm a bit confused but the side light has 3 bulbs (I guess): signal, parcking & fog, is that right?

Thanks mate I got it now. I've just ordered these foglight H1 bulbs and the supplier provides free sidelight 501's W5W bulbs. I should have ordered this from the begining. Good price and free shiping within UK.

Can someone post a working link to these bulbs? These are the ones I bought. They took a good couple of weeks to arrive though and the fog light housing needed a little bit of filing (nothing major) to get the bulb through without damaging it. Baz
