GTiR compared to a 62 trim Hybrid? #928847

Hi All,
I'm about to purchase a hybrid turbo for my 20vt which will be used mainly as a track car. I've narrowed my choice down to the two hybrids mentioned in the title.

I was wondering how different a GTiR (60 trim) would behave through the rev range compared to a 62 trim compressor wheel hybrid with T28 high flow turbine wheel? (The largest possible hybrid option I believe?)

I'm guessing the 62 trim would generate more power higher up the rev range but would the low down torque suffer at it's expense, or would there realistically be very little difference?

I'm ideally after lots of low down torque while running reasonably low levels of boost to help with reliability.

Thanks,
Julian.

It might be worth considering the super-spool for low down grunt see boostmecoupeup's thread here in tuning and in FC performance section.
Also If you want more up top consider the GT28r/rs/rsr type turbos as the V-band is restrictive on the hybrids.

might be worth speaking to rog at poweritalia as think he has had both on his car and would be able to give you a first hand opinion of how they feel in comparison to each other

Thanks for the replies Jef_uk / doug20vt,

I did originally think about a Superspool but decided that the relatively small increase in size wouldn't be worth the hassle and expense.

BoostMeCoupeUp's results after Flea has worked his magic on the car certainly show the benefits of such an upgrade.
