Well, techically it IS a facelift model. The 20VT was mildly enhanced for the end-of-line models - they gained body-coloured sills, Plus alloys, 180 mph speedo, plus another couple of bits I can't remember right now.

However, it's a dubious advert - LOTS of inaccuracies

330bhp from a GTi-R turbo? Probably not.
"One of a kind"? - er, not quite.
Side airbags? Nope.
Rear spoiler? - Hmmm - missing (thankfully).
ESP? definitely not.
5 seats? - only if you include your gerbil
Power Seats? - surely not.
FOUR keys? - silver, blue, red and er,

To be fair, the price looks OK if its in decent condition, but in my opinion, anyone that can be so inaccurate with an advert is probably not somebody I'd want to buy from

the pistons are ok if your not running 330bhp all day every day so M.B.V if fitted should be ok with the right mapping

At least in Belgium the latest 20vt's came with all-black recaro's

Actually - it CAN'T be a facelift model, as its from 1998 - IIRC, the run-out models were 1999-2000

I did wonder about the alloys, as I was fairly sure that the last 20VTs used the Plus alloys

However, as Kayjey says, its also missing the starter button AND the 180mph clocks (and the strut brace too)

So - whilst there is a model of 20VT that you could conceivably call the "facelift model", this is certainly not one of them.

By "facelift" the seller probably means "Mark II" or simply 20vt as opposed to 16vt. But surely if you're really interested in a car, you'll trust your eyes based on the actual car as seen in the metal and the paperwork as felt in your fingers. Anyone who buys a car any other way surely deserves all the bad luck they get?

went to test drive this car and it has no where near 330 it felt pretty much standard

there is nothing like a totally miss leading advert! It looks totaly standard except air filter and some gauges!
