First quoted me £270 for 3000 miles which i was speechless

Royal and sun alliance are actual insurer's

Next nearest quote was £900 as part of a multicar quote with admiral tpft. So say im happy is an understatement.

Funny thing is ,i was going to purchase the admiral policy the other day but lost my credit card.So thought id search around and got this- must of been an omen!

I think they won't insure you if you have had any modifications (not just engine fettling), but this looks interesting and if anyone else gets a decent quote I will look to add them to the list of insurers.

i have just done the same sort of policy and only payed £275 full comp with hagerty but with 18's , le body kit , stainless steel pipe , k&n and sterio cover . it also allows me to have track day cover for only 10% of the policy happy days .

grrrrr... i wan cheap insurance.

Hagerty wouldnt insure me as they state i need to be named on another policy and not a company car.

they dont take ncb into account as its a classic policy but you will have to submit any accidents you have had in which i didnt have any

According to their website, the vehicle must be over 15 years old to be eligible for "classic car" insurance. So I guess early 16v coupes might qualify, but not a 20VT. How did you get around this?

I know its says that online but when i phoned up they have a list of insurers apparently that will state which cars they will insure of over a certain age. Royal sun and alliance were the only ones to insure the coupe over 10years old.

Ahhh wait a sec, looks like they can do quotes for younger vehicles if you ring them, but not if you get a quote over their website

I might give them a try then, I struggle to get reasonable insurance premiums because I only have a couple of years worth of ncb due to the fact that I've only lived in the UK for 3 years.
