I'm with you Kayjey. If I was on the market for one, I'd definately be interested in looking at that one. I don't like the wheels and the GT badge would be the first thing to go.
But if everything else was in order, I probably wouldn't even haggle that much over the price.

Looks 16" to me and still on standard springs I would think. Might be a very good starting point though and quite easy to revert to standard (bonnet - spoilers - wheels).
I honestly can't understand all the criticism - surely there's a lot "worse" around on our forum here? agreed - at least it appears to have been looked after very well, stylistically it could be improved but the basics are there for an excellent car imo....

if you changed the wheels and never looked at the bonnet it would be OK.
you may wish to pull the spoilers off too

It's Melvyn's car. Not my cup of tea styling - wise, but having seen it in the flesh (he lives near me) it is in good condition.

Each to their own - some people like individualizing their cars. There are some, what I would consider, naff body kits out there must be demand them or they wouldn't be on the market. The wheels do make it look

It`s not to most tastes but if you like the colour it`s a lot of coupe for the money! and not too difficult to return to standard? or even turn into a pearly white plus Dave

Is that dashboard stripe a different colour to the outside of the car, or are my eyes going weird??
Why wouldn't you get the dashboard stripe resprayed at the same time?? I assume this was once a normal red colour outside then??

It is a "normal" red.....have a look at the wheel demo tool and click on the Burgundy plus here The dash strip probably looks too light as its over exposed against the sea of black trim surrounding it. And as above bar a few badges to remove and the bonnet if thats not your bag I dont see an issue.

this is pam,s old coupe off here Indeed it is Karl. The last time I saw this car, the day she sold it, it looked fantastic. The modificationss might not be to everyones taste but that shouldn't be an indication of the quality of the car.
Gone Audi mad!

Fit a bonnet, take off a few badges, leaves you with a plus on a 2000 plate with below average miles....what's the problem.
Bonnets are cheap nowadays, when you get time take of the rest of the spoilers IMO

Bonnets are indeed cheap, but you need to source a set of plus wheels (well I would) then you need to remove the rear spoiler then you need to pay someone to spray everything so that it doesn't look like its had a respray at just the front and back. I reckon around £1500-£2000 for 'joe public' to get all the bits and return to standard.
New bonnet - £200, plus wheels and tyres £500 (if you want proper 225/45/16 's) and assuming you can find a set, then the spraying on top, at least £800 I reckon.
Hence why I doubted it would make much more than 2k, SaraL had a late speed six in ink black that didn't sell for much than 2k and that looked pretty straight to me with recaros and plus wheels. Not posting a price on the car, it's only worth what someone is gona pay for it, was merely commentating on the "pants" issue Tbh £200 for a bonnet, unless it's of the same colour, even then...£125 at most. Ebay has had at least half a dozen up for a while, don't think one is more than £150 and goes all the way down in price, maybe there are more coupes for breaking because of the scrappage scheme. Plenty of coupe owner's have had just the bonnet sprayed without getting the rest of the car done, ..cost about £200, most good quality spray shops will be able to get it to a good enough standard unless you are looking for excellence Plus wheels £500....maybe years back, just wait and a set will turn up a good bit cheaper, don't have to do everything at once. Just had a tinny wee look at at SarahL coupe which is a nice coupe...it also has the rear spoiler, with a blown turbo ( can't really skimp on this part ) with nearly 30,000 miles more and it's just older. Plus ( pun ) what KJ said

Yeah but while you were waiting for all the parts to come up you have to have that abomination sitting on your drive.. can you imagine Forgot to say that plus tyres are 225/45/16 so I was thinking of the total price for wheels and tyres. Two plus wheels on ebay at the moment with 4 days to go and no tread are up to £120 already. Just didn't want anyone to underestimate the price to return it to a nonchav(tm) state. You could do it a lot cheaper.

it's been much discussed in other threads, and most people seem to think that could be a really good car with a couple of changes, ie the bonnet!
seems well looked after and much loved, so is the basis of a good standard car

seems well looked after and much loved, so is the basis of a good standard car I can vouch that it's in good condition. Agree on the bonnet and wheels - ditch them for the originals and someone will have a very nice plus.
