Cant answer that as a newbie but I have seen pics of it before on the x19 owners site. Does the lid come off like the original?

It looks a bit too... beefed up for me, put it on a slim fast plan for a month and I think it would make a good looking reincarnation.

Do you know any details about it, such as engine size/location etc? or is it strictly a concept?

I thought they'd neutered Fiats sporting ambitions and let Alfa do the sporty thing??

I'd love to see fiat doing sporty again.

They are still ruling the roost with their hot hatches though? the 500 and Grande Punto esse esse's seem far more popular that the Mito and aging 147. Im with you on this one though, Id love to see a new 124/X19/Barchetta/Coupe. cool

Links down but if thats the X1/99 it was a once off factory sponsored Student design prototype based on the Punto.
There is a new Fiat 2-seat in the pipeline which will be badged as an Abarth and will be based on the Lotus Elise.....

Hmmmmm an Elise chasis with 20vt power??? driving yes

Looks a bit closer to the original X19 than the concept X199 too.
