Ive seen a guide somewhere. Its a case of burning out the black rubber ones on the wishbones & find out if you have Fiat ones or aftermarket ones, because the metal sleeves are different, then using a press of some sort you apply pressure to get the sleeves home. It tells you in the instructions that come with the bushes. Best of luck.... smile

I've been writing one, just having got round to finishing it yet. What do you need to know?

I found this one handy when I was fitting my powerflex bushes. You may need to translate it but the pics should be enough of a help.

Cheers baz that guide seems to explain things a little more. I didn't get fitting instructions with mine :-( I was wondering how that metal plate come off that goes round the bush. And how the bush's are held in because from what I can see it seems like when driving after time there's a chance of the bush seperating and falling off or am I wrong? Also where do the sorta other rubber rings go the small non mushroom headed ones. Thanks for all the advice.

Ok got most of it done now for the easy bit pushing the bush's in crazy ok so maybe it's not so easy, does this need a machine to push them in or is there any way I can do it from home without a machine any idea helpful cheers.

There's two options to get the bushes fitted:

- press them on using a hydraulic press
- machine the bushes so they slide on the arms without any play and glue them on with locktite 638

Poly bushes on the front, and solid bushes on the back wink

And obviously the difference between the rubber and solid bushes are that solid one will have no or less play than the rubber, but what are the disadvantages and down sides to solid ones,

not sure there are any downsides, having had them fitted, it's not like the car becomes utterly rigid, just seems to locate better at the back and keep better geometry, should ultimately last longer than rubber ones too.

You can't really see the front bushes, but if you remove the back wheels you can see the rear ones. Its hard to see if the have started to perish (usual cracks etc...)

Much better if you jack it up at the rear so the wheel are off the ground. Wheels off and get a crowbar onto the subframe and see if there;s any movement in it.

I hope to fit my rear subframe bushes before Christmas. If I do I will take some photos.

Ok! The remaining question would be how much movement is too much then.
