The 20vt I bought a few weeks ago, had the std clarion fitted, but it was broken. So I bought a replacement exact same on ebay. When i took out the old unit, there was only the cd changer unit and the rectangular shaped plug next to it plugged in the back. The 6 leads that look like speaker leads had nothing to plug into, and there was nothing to go in the small round black multi pin socket on a black lead either. Simply plugging in the rectangular plug and cd unit did not result in any sounds, although at least everything lit up properly, unlike the old one. Have i got some wires missing on my car?

Have you plugged the aerial in? Also, the lead for the powered aerial is used to power the signal booster so make sure that's connected.

Don't worry about the 6 RCA type connectors they are for the extra amps etc. As I remember, but it was awhile ago, there is the ISO connector, then if you have one a din type connector going to the rear of the car for the CD changer. You then should have another just like Scooby says, the aerial, there is no 'actual' aerial as such it's in the rear quarter light with a signal booster.

Scooby, you seem to be saying that there should be two leads for the aerial. I've plugged in one that looks like a normal aerial lead, what does the other one for the signal booster look like? Where does it plug into?
