OK, so I bought some HID's from ebay and the bulbs are wider than the standard fit H1's (The glass section)as a result they won't fit through the aperture to locate in the headlamp. I'm pretty sure I can remove material to get them to fit with a Dremal or the like. Really just wanted to see if anyone has come across this and how they sorted it / problems caused etc. before I start an irreversible process. Should mention they are 55w bulbs if they are any bigger than the 35w equivalent.

I had the same problem with my 16vt

make sure your putting them in the right way first off, but I has to remove less than 1mm to get them in

Thanks Samsite. They're going in the right way, just not enough room. Good to know it's so little material that has to be removed. Now to the Batcave AKA the shed for some Dremal action

just to confirm - sam is right. on both my cars/sets they had to be very slightly modified to accept the bulb fittings
